August 2009
Waves is pleased to announce that our entire V6 product-line* now supports Merging Technologies Pyramix 6.0 via VST.
*Vocal bundle is not supported.
Known issues:
- VST Scan is performed by an external app, before the DAW is loaded. This scan is exceptionally slow, but it only needs to be done once.
- The Waves ‘About’ box may crash Pyramix on a secondary monitor. Press Alt+G to open Pyramix Settings. Under Application\Desktop Layout, on the bottom right corner, check Disable Skin. Click OK and restart Pyramix for the change to take effect.
- Changing Waves Dorrough Meter GUIs corrupts the Pyramix mixer. To fix, resize the mixer.
- No MIDI Support.
- The mixer is rebuilt every time a plug-in is added. In large sessions, this may take a long time.
- Mono-to-stereo plug-ins are used on stereo strips. Audio should be routed into the left channel input.
- Mono-to-surround and stereo-to-surround plug-ins are used on GPS strips, routed into the left channel input, but their default output routing is incorrect. To fix: Enable the mixer strip Direct Out; route it to internal Pyramix busses, and patch them into the inputs of a second mixer strip. The mixer channel outputs should be routed into the second strip inputs, according to the plug-in. (See chart below).
This chart shows where each output should be routed, according to plug-in.
