As long as your product is covered by Waves Update Plan, you are entitled to the latest version and all updates. To renew your Waves Update Plan, access your account and click Get Waves Update Plan.

Important! Before updating, please read the following carefully:

1. To ensure your system is compatible with the latest Waves version,
   check our Tech Specs page.
   
   
2. Your product's current version authorization will be removed from your iLok, and be replaced by the latest version license.
   
   
3. V7 and V6 can run concurrently on the same computer.
   However, V7 and Waves versions V4 and V5 cannot. If you have multiple V4 and V5 Waves products you wish to use on the same computer, you will need to update all of them.
   
   
4. Starting with V6, authorizations for all bonus plug-ins are included in the main bundle license, and do not require additional authorization.
   
   

Important!
Users own multiple copies of the same product - learn which of them to update by selecting License Locator from your Waves account menu.

Important note for TLC users!
When you update TLC products, your TLC automatically expires.
To resume coverage, you must renew TLC. To renew TLC coverage, the updated product version must have a minimum of 6 months of Waves Update Plan coverage remaining.

1. Connect your iLok(s) carrying the products you are about to update and log in to your account at www.iLok.com.
   
   
2. If your connected iLoks do not appear under the 'Found iLoks' section on the left, install the iLok.com software, and then click the 'Update' button.
   
   
3. Access your Waves account.
   Note that your login name and password are case sensitive.
   
   
4. Click the Update link next to your product.

5. Make sure the latest version is compatible with your DAW setup,
   and then click Update Product.
   
   
6. Enter your iLok.com account User ID, and Waves will deliver your license to your iLok.com account. (This may take a few minutes. Thanks for your patience.)
   
   
7. Go back to your iLok.com account, and click Download Licenses on the left menu.
   
   
8. Select the Waves license/s and the iLok key you wish to authorize,
   and then click the Download to iLok button.
   
   
9. If you update from V5, you may also receive additional V5 licenses. These must be downloaded to your iLok in order to update additional products.

Important! You must complete steps 4-9 BEFORE updating additional products.
